Awin API integration

To connect to the Awin API, you will need your account ID, your API Key and choose the timezone.

Set up Awin

1. Connect to your account, then click on Account > Overview and you will find your ID :

Important: your Awin account needs the permission Owner, Admin or Full Access.

2. To find you API Key, click on the menu on the right top and click on API Credential :

Then fill in your password to show your token, example : abcd123-abcd123-abcd123-abcd123-abcd123

3. Finally choose your timezone, it's UTC by default

Information about commission rates

Updating the commission rates for programs requires making an additional API request for each program. Due to the limitations of the Awin API, we cannot update the commission rates for all programs, otherwise an update would take tens of minutes to hours.

We have chosen to update the commission rates in batches:

• when a new Awin connection is created on Strackr, 100 programs per update will have the commission rate of saved.
• then 20% of the programs will have the commission rate updated at each update with a maximum of 100 programs.

Due to these conditions, it is possible that a program will require several updates in order to have its commission rate updated on Strackr.
