CJ Affiliate API integration

To connect your CJ account, you will need your CID and Personal Access Tokens information.

CJ offers two types of connections on Strackr, differentiated by how they record transaction dates: Event Date and Posted Date.

• Event Date: This represents the exact date and time when the transactions occurred. For instance, in a consumer purchase scenario, it's the date when the purchase was actually made.
• Posted Date: This indicates the date when the advertiser recognized and recorded the transaction in CJ reports.

If you're uncertain about which connection to choose, the Event Date option generally satisfies most requirements.

Set up Commission Junction API

1. Go to your affiliate account, on the top right you will find your CID under your name:

2. Now you will have to connect to the CJ Developer Portal : https://developers.cj.com

Then on left menu, click on Authentification and Personal Access Tokens

Create a new Personal Access Token, add the name Strackr for example and click on Register:

Your Personal Access Token will be displayed:

Copy and paste this token in Strackr.

3. Go to the back to your affiliate account, on the top menu, click on Account and Administrative Settings:

You will find the currency that you have to select on Strackr:

Then connect your CJ statistics to Strackr.

Import click statistics

CJ's API doesn't allow you to collect click-through statistics. To overcome this problem and access important metrics such as EPC, we've added the possibility of manually importing CJ's performance reports.

1. Connect on your CJ account, then on the top main menu, click on Reports and Performance:

2. Select Advertiser by Website on the Performance by menu:

Select Daily for Trend, and change the Date Range if you need to.

Then click on Run Report button.

3. You can now export the CSV file on the top right of the table:

You will have to repeat the process every time you need to have access to your click statistics on Strackr.
